Randomness
Aug. 20th, 2012 10:27 amI've been kind of down lately because I've been thinking about my health. And it's been a really bad week for me health-wise. But it's been a really bad while, actually. And I know I"m supposed to get progressively worse, and my body getting less able to handle what I'm going through is normal. It's just kind of hard sometimes.
Anyway, moving on from depressing junk, my birthday is the 23rd. That will make it 15 years since my 14th birthday, which was the last birthday I could walk. I think it was a year or so ago that my medical team asked me a question, and it made me realize that I didn't remember what it felt like to stand up. So, like most birthdays, it will be interesting to see what my emotional state's like that particular day.
I had a vacancy at the Hyatt for Dragon*Con this year, but then it doubled in price over the weekend. So, I'm staying at the Airport Hilton. Unfortunately, I don't have a place for the first night I'm supposed to be there. (I have an acting workshop first thing on Thursday morning. So I need to be there Wednesday night.) This should be interesting. Honestly, I'm kind of torn about the whole trip at this point. I'm worried about my health or logistics. And I don't know how many of you I'll see there, which is kind of bumming me out.
If anyone wants to see me, I'd love to see you. And if you can make it to my room, I'll have baked goods.
Last night, after an agonizing decision about whether to book the hotel, I started wondering if I really wanted to support a convention that kind of seems to not want to accommodate disabled people and hasn't really addressed the issue of its sponsor's very clearly coming out against the gay community.
I also noticed that Ryan Robbins cancelled, and I really hope none of the other former Sanctuary actors drop out because I really, really want to see them. Anyway, so there's randomness. I love you all.
